Tea-D's Unchained Melody Le Reve
Melody... She was my first frenchie love, and is the heart and soul of everything I want Le Reve to be. |

Mr Tibbs adoring Her Royal Highness
This is where she sat every morning, helping me dry my hair.

Melody's reaction to the "Come" command!" (Tell it to the paw!)
I miss you, Melody. Every moment of every day. June 27, 2001 - August 21, 2006

Showing for me began with Melody. I had wished and hoped for this since I was a little girl, and when I showed her everything around me stopped. I remember carrying her like precious cargo; one person commented that eventually she would have to actually walk on her own feet. I smiled and replied, "Probably not as long as I am here to do her bidding." She had me wrapped around her frenchie paw ... I can't remember ever feeling more at peace or loving someone so much.
On this day at the French Bulldog Nationals, September 2002, I was typically nervous. It was a huge class of girls from all over the country -- many handled by professional handlers. When I walked in the ring I only saw my beautiful girl. There was something magical about showing Melody -- I always lost my nervousness. She watched me, stood at attention for the judge and showed him that incomparable face. This was her win, not mine. |
